Hey guys! I’ve just had a period of mocks at college so to celebrate finishing them, we visited one of Hull’s many cute cafes. This was my first visit to the Artisan Coffee and Art although I had already tasted their delicious cakes before back in the March 2020 lockdown when they were doing delivieries. Ever since that point, I had been desperate to be able to visit in person and I finally had my opportunity to. The food was delicious, the staff were friendly and the decor was unique. What more could you want from an independent cafe! Hopefully, this post will give you all the information you need on why Artisan Coffee and Art is worth a visit!
Stepping into the buzzing atmosphere of the cafe, I was instantly drawn in by the interesting decor of the interior. It was eccentric and quirky in the best way possible with lots of interesting, artistic decor adorning the walls. It doubled as an art shop with lots of the decor being up for sale which I thought was a really nice, unique touch for the cafe. Wooden tables were scattered across the floor, allowing enough space for customers to social distance from each other. The assortment of cakes captured my attention and I had a hard time deciding which one I wanted to eat.
In the end, I decided on a slice of chocolate cake whilst my sister had a pink French fancy. I tried a little of her cake and I could instantly taste the sweet strawberry flavour dominantly. It combined well with the sugary icing that coated the outside of it. However, as delicious as it was, I definitely felt that I had made the right choice with my chocolate cake. The rich cake mixed with the sweet icing was an incredible combination and its definitely up there as one of the best chocolate cakes I’ve had.
To conclude, we had a very successful first visit to the Artisan Coffee and Art. The food was amazing, the decor was unique and the staff were friendly. I would 100% recommend it to you as a good option for a coffee and cake.
Thank you for reading this post! There’ll be another one out soon but until then bye for now!
