Summer bucket list: coronavirus style!

Hey guys! So as summer is now upon us and I have 7 weeks off before I go back to school, I’m starting to plan what I want to do over that space of time. With the restrictions surrounding coronavirus being more relaxed now, there are more places and things we can do that we couldn’t do a couple of months ago. I’m very grateful for this and I plan on still trying to have the best summer I possibly can even with the threat of coronavirus still looming over us all. So here are just some of the things I’d like to do this summer!

  • PRACTICE ROLLER SKATING: So recently, I bought some roller skates as I’d decided to take it up as a hobby. I have roller skated a couple of times in the past but never consistently. So I am still very new to it and I’m still finding my feet with it really. I’m determined that by the end of the summer, I will be a lot more confident with roller skating and that I will have improved since I first bought my skates. I’m hoping that some of the roller discos near me might re-open soon so I can start going to them as I think they’ll be so much fun (and I’ve already convinced some of my friends to go with me!)
  • MORE SOCIAL DISTANCE MEET UPS: Anyone who knows me knows that I really value my friends and family and that I really struggled with not seeing them when the U.K was in a strict lockdown. So once we were allowed to meet people again I jumped at the chance to reconnect with my friends and family. Face time is great but just isn’t the same as seeing them in person! So I’m really looking forward to meeting up with different friends and family across the summer. We’ve already planned to spend some time with my grandparents and my auntie and cousin and I’m hoping to have weekly Teen Wolf marathons with my best friends Izzy and Charlotte which should be fun.
  • VISIT THE BEACH LOTS: We are so fortunate to live really close to the coast with a wide selection of beaches near us to visit. There’s Mappleton, Hornsea, Bridlington, Fraisethorpe, Dane’s Dyke and Filey, Scarborough and Whitby if you don’t mind going a bit further up the coastline. I absolutely love the beach and I’m sure we’ll be spending lots of time there across the summer whether we just go for walks or spend the whole day there.
  • DAYS TRIPS OUT WITH MY FAMILY: I’m so excited to go out on day trips with my family this summer. Some of the places I’d like to go with them include Forbidden Corner, Fountains Abbey, Harlow Carr, Brimham Rocks, Malham Cove and Yorkshire Sculpture Park. All of these are in the region of Yorkshire because we don’t really want to travel much further than that but I’m happy that we will get to explore more of my home county this summer than we have in the past.

  1. I love this idea! I hope you manage to achieve everything that you want to achieve over this time. Have you ever seen the film Whip It? I used to like to imagine myself as Ellen Page with my Barbie roller-skates! ;P xx

  2. These are such feel good activities on your bucket list and it sounds like you will have an amazing summer! I feel like I have lots of catching up to do with my friends and family also because of lockdown. I’m so jealous you’re close to a beach, I find them so peaceful! Thanks for sharing πŸ™‚ xxxx
