5 places I want to travel to in the U.K and 700 followers!

Hey guys! So this is part 2 to a post that I wrote back in January. Click here to read that post where I shared some of the top places I want to visit abroad. Today’s post is going to centre on 5 places that I want to visit in the U.K. If you follow my blog, you will know by now that I love to travel to new places and discover different cultures. I truly believe that there are some amazing places to visit not only abroad but also in the U.K and I really want to see as much of the beautiful country that I live in as possible. I’m lucky to have already visited places like Liverpool, Newcastle, Leeds, Manchester, Sheffield and London and of course Chesterfield as I have family who live there. But there’s still so much more for me to see and these are only 5 of the many places I want to visit in the U.K. So in today’s post, I’m going to share with you 5 places that I really want to visit in the U.K.

Birmingham is one of the U.Ks biggest cities and I’ve been dying to visit for ages. It has loads of different tourist attractions such as Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, other various museums, Aston Hall, St Philips Cathedral, Dudley Zoological Gardens and Castle and the Jewellery Quarter. There is also the awesome Bullring shopping centre and Cadbury’s World which we were lucky enough to visit a while ago and it was great. It just seems like a very busy, exciting and diverse city which would be so much fun for me to explore!

Coventry is a city in central England which is going to be city of culture in 2021. After seeing the massive impact city of culture had on Hull, I’d be really interested to visit Coventry and see how being city of culture affects it. I’m sure there will be lots of exciting events happening for city of culture 2021. Also, there are of course the two beautiful Coventry cathedrals, the Herbert Art Gallery and museum of national transport. I’m sure Coventry is going to make an awesome city of culture!

Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland and although I visited when I was about 6, I really can’t remember much of it so I’d like to revisit it now I can appreciate it more. There are so many different tourist attractions in Edinburgh: Edinburgh Castle, Arthur’s Seat, St Giles’ Cathedral, Scott Monument and Edinburgh Zoo just to name a few. You guys know that I really have a soft spot for castles and cathedrals so I would definitely visit Edinburgh Castle and St Giles’ Cathedral. I’m sure a visit there would be really busy and packed with fun and culture.

Cornwall is a beautiful county on the southwest tip of England and it hosts wild moorland and hundreds of beautiful beaches. I do love the seaside so the fact that Cornwall has a myriad of gorgeous beaches is definitely a bonus for me. Plus, in terms of tourist attractions, there is Tintagel Castle, the supposed birth place of King Arthur, Pendennis Castle, Flambards Theme Park, Newquay Zoo and Eden Project to mention a few. To me, Cornwall seems very beautiful and peaceful and I’m sure it would be a great location for a long beach holiday.

Bath is a south western city in England which is surrounded by rolling countryside. It’s another place that is rife with awesome tourist attractions such as the Roman Baths, Bath Abbey, Pulteney Bridge, several pieces of architecture such as the circus and royal crescent and the fashion museum. All these tourist attractions look and sound pretty cool so Bath is another U.K city that I’d be pretty interested to visit so I can immerse myself in its culture.

  2. I used to go to Birmingham with my mum when I was a kid and in my early teens every now and then as a treat on the train (was much cheaper to travel back then!) I was always awed, coming from a small town, by the big buildings and activity there. I’d like to see the new train station & shopping centre since it’s been revamped! Coventry is definitely on my list as I’ve never been; it’s far easy to get to than places like Edinburgh so maybe I’ll have to make a mini road trip for that in the summer! Huuuuge congrats on the followers, that’s amazing! 🙂

You know my favourite from your list. Cornwall. And I simply cannot get enough of Edinburgh’s architecture and Bath too. xx
