5 places I want to travel to and my 2 year blogiversary!

Hey guys! As you all know, Hull is my first love and I couldn’t imagine growing up in a better city. But you may also know from some of my past travel diaries that I also love to travel and I’m lucky enough to have already visited so many amazing places. Travelling is definitely something I dream of doing lots in the future and the world is such a huge place with so many stunning places to visit. I just love the feeling of exploring new places and immersing myself into different cultures and I would definitely say that I have great wanderlust. So in today’s post, I will be sharing with you the 5 places I want to visit in the future!

NUMBER 1: NEW YORK, USA

I did previously visit the USA in 2016 when we had an amazing holiday in Florida. However, after watching Gossip Girl and seeing the streets of New York on my TV screen, a trip there began to appeal to me more and more. I would just love to see all the famous landmarks such as the statue of Liberty and the Empire state building and wander along the busy streets. Plus, I visited Toronto last year and loved it there and it’s said to be very similar to New York so I would be interested to see how the two compare to each other.

NUMBER 2: AMSTERDAM, HOLLAND

Back in 2017, on our way to France, we actually flew to Amsterdam first and then onto Bordeaux and ever since, our brief visit there, Amsterdam was marked onto my list of places I’d love to visit. The idea of visiting there was further enforced after watching ‘The Fault in Our Stars’ and I think it would be so cool to wander around Anne Frank’s house and meander around the streets to the various different museums that are there.

NUMBER 3: SOFIA, BULGARIA

Bulgaria was actually an option for this year’s holiday and even though I’m really excited to holiday in Spain this year, I would still be interested in journeying to Bulgaria in the future. As the capital of Bulgaria, Sofia offers beautiful landmarks such as the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and Boyana Church which reflect more than 2000 years of history. It’s a very cultured, unique place and I’m sure I would enjoy exploring there.

NUMBER 4: ROME, ITALY

Ahhhh Rome. Another place that I’ve been dying to visit for so long. I can’t pinpoint exactly when I decided that I needed to pay the famous city a visit but who could blame me with its beautiful architecture and amazing culture. The Vatican city, the Colosseum, the Sistine chapel … so many awesome places to explore. Not to mention the food as well because Italian food is possibly my favourite food ever! I would just love to immerse myself in the culture of this city.

NUMBER 5: PARIS, FRANCE

Last but not least: Paris!! This has been on my list for the longest of all these amazing places and although I was lucky enough to visit Bordeaux back in 2017 ( click here to read all about it), that trip just caused me to desire to explore Paris even more. Like all of the other incredible cities, Paris is certainly not lacking in amazing landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, Louvre Museum, Cathedrale Notre Dame de Paris and of course Disneyland. I think it would also be pretty cool to visit Paris since I’m learning French at the minute and I adore the language and love to speak it so hopefully, I could put my French lessons to good use while I was over there!

  1. Congratulations on your Blogiversary! Whenever you go to these places, pack me in your suit case and take me with you, haha! I have such a wanderlust soul but sadly, I haven’t had the opportunity to travel far and wide, the places I dream of going. I plan to make it possible someday, but until then, enjoy your adventures! xx

  2. These are some great destinations, I was lucky enough to go to both Amsterdam and Paris last November – both were breathtaking, though I do think that Amsterdam is prettier in the spring/summer time. It rained the whole time I was there, so everything wasn’t as vibrant as it normally would have been. Great post xx

  6. I have visited 4 out of 5 of the places of your list which is crazy to me as it feels like I have hardly travelled at all! I would recommend adding Barcelona to your list if you have not visited already as it was truly one of my favourite holidays. I would recommend visiting New York when you have some money saved as food is quite expensive as is the City in general and there are so many shopping opportunities. Amsterdam is fairly cheap in comparison so good for a long weekend away. Message me if you need any travel recommendations for any of these places! xx

I have never even heard of Sofia before so thanks for sharing that place with me, it looks stunning! I don’t even know anything about Bulgaria to be honest, so I feel I’ve learnt something from your post.
Did you know you can do a Gossip Girl tour in New York? Make sure you put that on your list when you go, if Gossip Girl is part of what inspired you!
Rome is incredible, as is Paris, the architecture in both cities is absolutely stunning. Amsterdam was absolutely amazing when I visited, Anne Franks house was incredibly moving.
You should definitely put Prague on your list too, it’s beautiful!
I hope you get to tick all these places off and more, Amelia x
