Lincoln Christmas Market!!

Hey guys! So this week, I really got into the Christmas spirit as I visited Lincoln Christmas Market with my family!! Stalls, performers and festive cheer invaded the streets of Lincoln from 6th December to 9th December. There were more than 280+ stalls at the Market, selling unique and wonderful items and also some delicious food and drink. Massive crowds flock to the famous Lincoln Market every year and after visiting this year, I can definitely see why. It was a great day out and I’d definitely be interested in journeying to Lincoln for it again next year. So in today’s post, I’m going to describe Lincoln Market and my experience there.

After taking the 1 hour drive to Lincoln, we parked on Lincoln showgrounds and caught the event park and ride bus into central Lincoln. We approached the Market and there were stalls everywhere and loads of people milling about. We headed off to the left and walked around in a circle so we ended up back where we’d started.

There were a whole variety of amazing and unique stalls and the amount of them honestly shocked me. Some of my favourite stalls were the glass work stalls which were selling beautiful, glass, handmade pieces and the Christmas decor stalls with a selection of spectacular Christmas themed decorations to buy. I succeeded in buying Christmas presents for some of my friends and also my mum too. There really were stalls for everyone.

All the food stalls were mainly concentrated in a certain area and it all smelt and looked amazing. They had catered for all people with different tastes so it would be easy to find the meal you were craving. Just before leaving the Market, we purchased some coffee and cakes from a cake stall and they were incredible. I chose a salted caramel millionaire shortbread and every single part of it was absolutely heavenly. We chose to stop at the local Pizza Express restaurant instead of sampling some of the food from the Market purely due to the fact we needed a rest after wandering around for well over an hour and all the available seating was already occupied. We all shared delicious Margarita, Sloppy Giuseppe and American pizzas and I had a Strawberry Sicilian Lemonade to drink.

So overall, I really enjoyed the Lincoln Christmas Market and I bought some awesome presents for my friends and family too. My only issue was the massive amounts of people there so if you dislike crowds, this definitely isn’t the place for you! I’d definitely reccomend it other than that.

My thoughts go out to all those affected by the horrendous shooting at Strasbourg Christmas Market.

Thank you for reading this post! Have you been to a Christmas Market before? Let me know in the comments section! There’ll be another post out soon but until then bye for now!!

  2. I really love going to Winter Wonderland purely for the Christmas Market that they have there every year. I never buy any Christmas presents there but love looking at all the decorations. I was so sad to have missed the York Christmas Market by a week. xx
