Hey guys!! Today’s post is going to be about 4 of the lovely tourist attractions dotted around Hull. There are loads of other great tourist attractions in Hull however I’ve managed to shorten it down to just 4!! All of these tourist attractions are really interesting and are some of the other great things besides events that Hull has to offer!! If you ever visit Hull I would definitely reccomend giving at least one of these places a visit!!
1: HUMBER BRIDGE
The Humber Bridge, a 2,220 metre suspension bridge is located in Barton Upon Humber and Hessle near Kingston Upon Hull. It spans across the Humber Estuary and was first opened to public in 1981 on 24th June. You can walk, cycle or run across the bridge and the view from it is breathtaking. It’s also a good opportunity to get some stunning photos and the bridge looks gorgeous at sunset. I recently walked across the Humber Bridge as part of a city of culture event which you can click here to read about.
Hull Minster formerly known as Holy Trinity Church before the 13th May 2017 is a stunning church right at the heart of the city of Hull. It has a gorgeous interior and exterior and the church as a whole is magnificent. Hull Minster is currently undergoing refurbishment and on the 13th May there was a full day of activities dedicated to it becoming a Minster. I was lucky enough to be able to experience this day for myself and you can click here to read my post about it.
Humber Street which is located where the fruit market in Hull once was, is home to a variety of restaurants, cafes, shops and art galleries!! That is another place that has undergone vast development due to Hull being City of Culture and Humber Street has a unique variety of different shops and restaurants you can visit down there. The Art Gallery in Humber Street has hosted a range of interesting exhibits over this year so far including ‘Dead Bod’. I am really glad they had developed such a different and unique street in Hull and that I’ve been able to visit it quite a few times.
4: THE MARINA
Hull Marina is where a lot of the smaller boats are docked and it is a lovely place to walk round. It’s really interesting to see all of the different boats there and to see a little of what the Old Town of Hull, which is where it is located, has to offer. The Marina is also quite near to Humber Street so you could have a little look around both places in the same day!!
Thank you for reading this post!! I did a post a while ago where I mentioned 2 of the other great tourist attractions in Hull which you can read here. Which Hull tourist attraction would you most like to visit? Let me know in the comments!! There will another post up next week but until then bye for now!!
